ITINERARY OVERVIEW
Day 1 – Departure from Muscat
Meet at 8:00 PM for the drive to Shannah Port (approx. 3.5 hours). From there, take the ferry across to Masirah Island. Ferry tickets can be purchased individually (approx. 8 OMR per vehicle plus 3.6 OMR per passenger). Arrival and overnight stay on the island.
Day 2 – Flamingo Watching and Pink Lakes
Begin your adventure exploring the island’s inland lagoons and pink lakes, where flamingos and other migratory birds thrive. Afternoon at leisure with time to relax on the beach. Overnight at camp or glamping site.
Day 3 – Red Mountain Hike
A guided hike to Red Mountain, an accessible 3–4 hour trek where Egyptian vultures nest. The trail offers dramatic views and a rewarding plateau summit. Return to camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4 – Snorkeling with Dolphins and Coral Reefs
Set out by boat for a guided snorkeling excursion. Swim along extensive coral reefs teeming with colorful fish, sea turtles, and dolphins. Duration: approx. 1.5 hours (30 OMR per person). Optional rental equipment available. Afternoon free for beach activities or relaxation.
Day 5 – Sunset Hike and Turtle Watching
Join a guided evening hike to a remote beach, ending with turtle watching at night. Witness these majestic creatures nesting and laying eggs in their natural environment. Duration: approx. 3 hours (25 OMR per person).
Day 6 – Farewell and Return to Muscat
Enjoy a final morning walk along the beach or a last swim before returning by ferry to Shannah and transferring back to Muscat.
