Led by a highly trained team of ex-Air Force Special Forces personnel, including a combat medic, physiotherapist, and survival experts, this trip ensures both safety and high-level guidance throughout the journey.

Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival & Acclimatization in Meemure
10:00 AM – Departure from Kandy
Meet at Team in Kandy. Following introductions and a short briefing, we begin our scenic 4-hour drive through lush forests, tea plantations, and winding mountain roads toward the remote village of Meemure, nestled deep within the Knuckles Mountain Range.
2:00 PM – Arrival at Meemure Village Homestay
Check-in at a locally run eco-friendly homestay offering a direct view of Lakegala. Take time to relax, enjoy a welcome herbal tea, and settle into the tranquil surroundings of village life.
4:00 PM – Jungle Trek & River Swim
Join a short guided jungle walk through the surrounding forests, followed by a refreshing dip in a natural river pool—a perfect way to cool down and connect with the environment before the main climb.
7:00 PM – Traditional Village Dinner
Enjoy a wholesome, home-cooked Sri Lankan meal prepared by the village hosts using fresh, organic ingredients. Dine under the stars while soaking in the peace of the remote setting.
8:00 PM – Safety Briefing & Gear Check
Gather with our expert guides (ex-Air Force personnel) for a mandatory safety briefing. We'll review the climbing plan, distribute equipment, and go over essential techniques for the next day’s ascent.
9:00 PM – Rest & Overnight Stay
Turn in early to rest and prepare for the early start. The accommodations are basic yet comfortable, reflecting the simplicity of life in Meemure.
Day 2 – Summit Lakegala
4:00 AM – Wake-Up Call
Rise early and gear up for an intense and rewarding day. Headlamps and hiking attire are a must as we prepare for the pre-dawn trek.
4:45 AM – Light Breakfast
Fuel up with a nutritious early breakfast featuring fruits, local snacks, and warm tea or coffee.
5:00 AM – Begin Lakegala Hike & Climbing Route
Set off under the guidance of our professional team. The hike begins with dense jungle trails, gradually giving way to steep rocky paths. Ascent involves light scrambling and eventually a challenging technical climb near the summit, with ropes and harnesses used under expert supervision. Expect breathtaking views, wildlife sightings, and a deep connection to the untouched wilderness.
2:00 PM – Midpoint Snack Break During Descent
Take a break on the way down to hydrate and refuel with light snacks while enjoying panoramic views of the valley and beyond.
5:30–6:00 PM – Arrival Back at the Village
Return to Meemure village for some well-earned rest and recovery. Freshen up and change before dinner.
6:30 PM – Farewell Dinner
A hearty local meal awaits as you relax and reflect on the day’s achievement with your fellow adventurers.
8:00 PM - Rest & Overnight Stay
Day 3 – Return Journey
8:00 AM – Breakfast & Departure to Kandy
Board the vehicle for your return trip. Guests heading back to Colombo will be dropped off at the Kandy–Colombo bus station with guidance on onward travel options.
