Itinerary

06:00 AM – Departure from Muscat
Begin the journey in 4x4 vehicles, traveling through scenic highways and rugged off-road tracks leading deep into the Hajar Mountains.

09:00 AM – Arrival & Safety Briefing
Reach the Funnel Cave site. Meet your guides, get fitted with helmets, harnesses, and headlamps, and receive a full technical briefing on caving and abseiling procedures.

Vertical Descent into Funnel Cave

Start with a thrilling rope descent through the cave’s iconic entrance shaft, lowering into the darkness of the underground world below.

Cave Exploration
Spend several hours navigating the chambers, climbing over boulders, and witnessing fascinating formations like stalactites, stalagmites, and underground flowstone. Learn about the cave’s geology and hear stories of past expeditions.

Picnic Lunch in the Mountains
Enjoy a hearty packed lunch in a shaded area outside the cave with panoramic views of the Hajar range.

Exit & Hike Back
Make the ascent out of the cave, followed by a rewarding hike through rugged terrain back to the 4x4 vehicles.

Arrive in Muscat by early evening, carrying with you the memory of an extraordinary underground journey.
